Description

Your Opportunity

Do you have strong project management skills and exceptional attention to detail?

Join our Pursuit Team to help support the rapid growth of our business in Aotearoa. We have 750 consulting engineers, planners and scientists helping our clients from 15 local offices.

You’ll be a person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and initiatives at once. This busy role suits a detail-oriented individual with a marketing and/or communications background—a highly organised team player who can communicate effectively, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

As one of our senior bid leaders, you’ll play an integral role in driving the development, management and execution of proposals, presentations and supporting materials using various tools, guidelines, and templates. You’ll collaborate with our technical leaders and subject matter experts across the company to drive and develop high-quality proposal documentation that reflects our brand, values, people, and projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Managing proposals as projects by planning and implementing opportunity response activities, i.e., actions, deliverables, owners, milestones, reviews, etc.

  • Advising on the development of the proposal document structure, ensuring key messages remain consistent throughout while adhering to client requirements.

  • Collecting company information and data and conducting internal and external research as appropriate for opportunity response documents and strategy development.

  • Ensuring marketing systems and databases are regularly updated with business development, pursuit, marketing and pre-qualification materials and copies of completed proposal submissions.

  • Developing appropriate networks and systems within the company to facilitate the identification and sharing of relevant information, best practices, etc., between offices.

  • Bid writing to help develop win themes and compelling proposal content in partnership with technical staff.

  • Supporting broader corporate marketing and business development activities, including brand positioning, client engagement, business development and promotional activities, which may include writing, design, editing or other activities as time allows.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Detail-oriented and highly organised with exceptional prioritisation and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, and proficiency in Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Ability to work effectively within a group and independently. Enjoys working with different personality styles and management levels—in person, across geographies, and in a virtual environment.

  • Must feel comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.

Education and Experience

  • 8 years of experience in a marketing or communications-related role.

  • Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related area preferred.

  • Experience in the Engineering/Construction/Architecture or other professional services industry is preferred but not essential.
